Summary and Overall Rating

Palmetto Elementary School serves students from PreK through Fifth Grade in Pinecrest. It enrolls approximately 900 students and maintains a student teacher ratio of around seventeen to one. Academic performance is among the highest in the district with approximately 85 percent proficiency in math and 80 percent in reading.

District guidelines require staff to respect student chosen names and pronouns beginning in early grades. Parents are not provided an option to opt out of these practices.
