Summary and Overall Rating

Perrine Academy of the Arts serves students from PreK through Fifth Grade in Palmetto Bay. The school enrolls approximately 410 students with a student teacher ratio of about fifteen to one. Academic performance is near district average, with around 48 percent proficiency in math and 47 percent in reading.

District guidelines require staff to respect student chosen names and pronouns beginning in early grades. Parents are not provided an option to opt out of these practices.

From a traditional or faith based perspective the school receives a rating of 4.5 out of 10 due to moderate academic outcomes and district wide gender identity policies that may concern some families.
